Today on 28-07-10 around 0930 hrs 2 NLFT(BM) extremists namely (1) Bikan Tripura(30) S/O Lt. Sarjan Kr. Tripura of Karnacherra PS Manu, Dhalai and (2) Budhi Debbarma(38) @ Budhikam S/O Lt. Budhyarai Debbarma of Subalgarh PS Sidhai surrendered before SDPO Gandacherra, Amitabha Dewan and OC Karbook PS at Srinath Para (about 6km East from PS) without arms. They are being interrogated.

Road mishap under Dharmanagar PS
On 27-07-10 night around 2300 hrs one truck bearing No-TRL-2238 while proceeding towards Kailashahar from Dharmanagar side dashed one pedestrian namely Amullya Nath(32) @ Madan S/O Lt. Mukunda Nath of Rajnagar PS Dharmanagar at Ananda Bazar on Dharmanagar-Kailashahar road(about 15km South-West from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle. As a result he received grievous injury on his person and died at the spot. Kailashahar PS staff visited the PO and seized the offending vehicle. Police also arrested driver of the vehicle namely Md. Faruk Miah(28) S/O Lt. Hanif Miah of Pakirbandh PS Kailashahar.

Murder under Teliamura PS.
Today on 27-07-10 around 1230 hrs a hot altercation took place in between one Ajit Rupini(22) S/O Sri Bidya Narayan Rupini of West Howaibari PS Teliamura and one Gopal Rupini(50) S/O Lt. Bidya Charan Rupini of the same village in the house of Gopal Rupini(about 8km West from PS) under influence of liquor. Both Ajit Rupini and Gopal Rupini assaulted each other with lathi. As a result both the persons received grievous injuries on their persons. They were shifted to Teliamura Hospital. Gopal Rupini expired on way to Hospital. Ajit Rupini has been referred to GB Hospital, Agartala. Police rushed to the spot. Motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained. A specific case is being registered in this regard.

Road mishap under Manu PS
On 23-07-10 around 1415 hrs one oil tanker bearing No-TR-01-A-1924 while proceeding towards Dharmanagar from Agartala side dashed one pedestrian namely Sashanka Reang(71) at Manughat market near UBI Bank of NH-44(about 100 mtrs. North-West from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle. As a result he received grievous injuries on his person and was shifted to Manughat CHC wherein he succumbed to his injuries after sometime. Manu PS staff visited the PO, arrested driver of the vehicle namely Gopal Chandra Majumder S/O Lt. Sarat Chandra Majumder of Jail Road, Dhaleswar, Agartala PS East Agartala. Police seized the offending vehicle.

Murder under Bishalgarh PS
On 22-07-10 in between 1730 hrs to 1800 hrs 2 persons namely (1) Afola Khatun W/O Milan Miah of Gajaria PS Bishalgarh (2) Ali Miah(12) S/O Md. Motalab Miah of the same village went for collecting fire wood  from Arabinda Nagar jungle(about 15km South from PS). But out of them Ali Miah did not return to his house. On searching on 23-07-10 at 0700 hrs dead body of Ali Miah was found lying in the jungle at Arabinda Nagar with cut mark on the back side of his neck. Tukho Miah S/O Lt. Ali Akbar of Gajaria PS Bishalgarh alleged that Afola Khatun killed his grandson Ali Miah. Police recovered the dead body and arranged for PM examination. Accused Afola Khatun has been arrested. Motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained.

Murder under Amtali, Kailashahar PS
(1) On 20-07-10 around 2000 hrs one Rupan Saha(33) S/O Sri Mangal Saha of Netaji Nagar, ONGC, PS Amtali an auto driver went out of his house with his auto rickshaw informing his wife that he was going to attend a birth day ceremony of his girl friend’s son at Panchamukh, Shyama Palli(about 3km North-West from PS). But he did not return to his house. On 21-07-10 morning around 0430 hrs Smt Sipra Rani Deb(Saha) received a telephone call from one Anamika Majumder(Das) W/O Sri Bikran Das of Panchamukh, Shyama Palli that her husband was admitted in B.R Ambedkar Hospital, Hapania in a serious condition who was subsequently referred to GB Hospital. On 21-07-10 around 1130 hrs Rupan Saha expired in GB Hospital. The Smt Sipra Rani Deb(Saha) alleged that Bikram Das husband of Anamika Majumder(Das) and 3 others namely Gandhi Majumder, Pradip Sarkar and Bikash Sarkar might have killed her husband by a pre-planned attempt.  
(2) For 1½  years back there was a love affair in between one Mithun Sukla Baidya(25) S/O Dhirendra Sukla Baidya of Samrurpar PS Kailashahar and one Sima Sukla Baidya(20) D/O Sushendra Sukla Baidya of the same village. Thereafter Mithun Sukla Baidya enjoyed her sexually on several occasions with assurance of marrying her. As a result she became pregnant and gave birth a child who is now 10 months old. Subsequently he refused to marry her. In this regard Sima Sukla Baidya lodged a complaint against Mithun Sukla Baidya and younger brother Litan Sukla Baidya which was registered vide Kailashahar PS Case No-123/09 u/s 376/417/109/506/323 IPC. Following this issue an enmity was going on between two families. On 20-07-10 around 1700 hrs a hot altercation took place between  family members of both the families at Samrurpar(about 10km West from PS) and FIR named accused persons (1) Litan Sukla Baidya(21) S/O Dhirendra Sukla Baidya (2) Smt Sanchita Sukla Baidya(40) D/O Lt. Debendra Sukla Baidya (3) Smt Anita Sukla Baidya(30) D/O Debendra Sukla Baidya (4) Smt Rupa Sukla Baidya(16) D/O Dhirendra Sukla Baidya (5) Smt Rita Sukla Baidya(24) W/O Sri Sailendra Sukla Baidya all of Samrurpar PS Kailashahar entered the house of Sima Sukla Baidya(victim) with dao, lathies etc. Litan Sukla Baidya assaulted Sima Sukla Baidya by a BOTI DAO on her person. As a result she died at the spot. Kailashahar PS staff visited the PO and arrested accused Litan Sukla Baidya and Smt Sanchita Sukla Baidya. Rest accused persons are absconding.

Felicitation of meritorious students of Home Guard  Families
Meritorious Children of Home Guards who have passed Madhyamik/H.S examination and Degree Course in 2010 with good marks have been felicitated in a function on 22-07-2010 at 1200 hours at A.D.Nagar Police Line, Agartala.

Sri Pranay Sahay, Director General of Police, Tripura presided over the function. Mrs. Pranay Sahay was the Chief Guest and Sri K.S Ali, Director General of Police(Int.), Tripura attended as special guest.  Total 76 children of Home Guards were felicitated for their performance in last examination.  They were given cash prizes and books from Home Guard Nursery Fund in recognition of their good performance. On the occasion Sri Pranay Sahay, DGP, Sri K.S Ali, DGP(Int) and Sri Amitabha Kar, ADGP & Director (Fire Service) expressed happiness with the good results achieved by Children of Home Guards. They also mentioned that Home Guards of the state were performing duties with all sincerity and commitment even in hard days when the state was suffering much from insurgency. Sri Nepal Chandra Das, DIG (Home Guard) gave welcome address and Sri Har Kumar Debbarma, Comdt. Home Guard gave vote of thanks.

Rejoinder to news item published in Syandan Patrika dT.19-07-10
In one of the news items published in Syandan Patrika dated 19-07-10 mentions that there were strong arguments at West PS between DIG (Southern) Range and Dy.SP Central in presence of SP West and present OC Manindra Debnath on the issue of transfer of previous OC Inspr. Babul Das. It further mentions that a section of subordinate officers are unhappy with the senior officers. It also mentions that on Friday, DIG(S) Range and SP West suddenly went to West PS where a hot altercation between them took place over the issue of transfer of Babul Das. It is mentioned in the news item that at the time of arrest of the lawyer, the DIG himself was present in the police station and even then the responsibility was fixed on the then O/C Babul Das. It is further alleged that SP West keeps his mobile switched off in order to avoid communication from DIG (S/R).

The fact is that Inspr. Babul Das is currently attached to SP West Office. There has been no reported resentment, either formally or informally, from the rank and file over the issue.  The Police personnel of West District are a coherent and structured team committed to maintain law and order in the district. The news item smacks of a nefarious design to create fissures amongst the rank and file of the West District Police which obviously cannot be achieved by such baseless gimmicks.   

Surrender of 4 NLFT(BM) extremists under Mandai, Teliamura PS.
(1) On 19-07-10 one NLFT(BM) extremist namely Mintu Rupini S/O Budhi Chandra Rupini of Champaknagar PS Jirania surrendered before 35 BN AR at Bhrigudas Bari PS Mandai. During surrender he deposited 9mm country made revolver-1 and ammunition of SLR-1 round. He is being interrogated.
(2) On 19-07-10 around 1930 hrs 3 NLFT(BM) extremists namely (1) Jatendra Tripura(25) @ Jhanka S/O Sachindra Tripura of Anandahari Roaja Para PS Chawmanu (2) Dasharath Reang(21) @ Debra S/O Chitra Kumar Reang of Hadang Para PS Birganj and (3) Dakhin Kr. Tripura(35) @ Dingi S/O Lt. Dunobanda Tripura of Maniram Para PS Dhumacherra surrendered before 34 BN AR  at Hrangkhal Para AR Headquarter. During surrender they deposited (1) .303 ammn.-8 rounds (2) 12 bore cartridges-4 nos and (3) one Bayonet of .303 rifle. They are being interrogated.

Recovery of 1600 kgs sugar under Budhjung Nagar PS
On 18-07-10 around 1200 hrs one Ranjit Debbarma S/O Sri Mangal Debbarma of Hariniamura, PS Budhjung Nagar, dealer of Hariniamura ration shop received delivery of 1600 kgs sugar from Mandai Govt. Food godown vide D/D No-91/BDO/MDI/F/1600 kgs dated 12-07-10 which were loaded in a mini truck bearing No-TR-01-L-1924 for carrying to Hariniamura ration shop, East Noabadi(about 4km North-East from PS). On 19-07-10 around 1545 hrs Sri Sanjib Debbarma, Inspr. of Food, Mandai Block visited the said ration shop and verified physically. During verification it was found that the drawn 1600 kgs sugar by Ranjit Debbarma for the card holder of Hariniamura ration shop had not been entered in the stock register. Sanjib Debbarma, Inspr. of Food, Mandai Block alleged that ration dealer Ranjit Debbarma and driver of the mini truck misappropriated the whole of sugar. Accused are absconding.

Recovery of looted vehicle from Manipur.
On 09-07-10 miscreants killed driver Laxman Debnath(32) S/O Sri Sachindra Debnath of Bagmara, Amtali, West Tripura at Silchar and took away his red color Tata Indica bearing No-TR-01-Q-0519 from Silchar. Dead body of Laxman Debnath was found at Srikona under Silchar Sadar Police Station on 10-07-10 which was identified by his elder brother Narendra Debnath and one Giyas Uddin on 12-07-10. Police Headquarters detailed SDPO Dharmanagar to proceed to proceed to Silchar for assisting the Local Police in investigation. On this Silchar PS case No-1347/10 u/s 302/201/379/34 IPC was registered on 14-07-10.

Today on 17-07-10 Police Headquarters Agartala received information from reliable source that the stolen vehicle was kept in Jiribam, Manipur near Assam border. DGP, Tripura shared this information with DGP, Manipur and also took up with Assam Police for immediate action. Due to timely intervention by OC Jiribam Police Station Manipur and OC Girighat Police Station, Assam, the stolen Tata Indica was recovered at 1230 hrs today from Algapur under Jiribam Police Station of Manipur. The case is now being vigorously pursued by Silchar Police on direction from Police Headquarters, Assam.

Murder under Ranirbazar PS
On 11-07-10 around 1500 hrs accused  Dipak Debnath(38) S/O Lt. Santi Ranjan Debnath of East Noagaon, Bagbari PS Ranirbazar and his friend Pradip Debnath(35) S/O Lt. Balaram Debnath of the same village consumed liquor together in the house of Dipak Debnath at East Noagaon(about 8km South from PS). At that time a hot altercation took place in between Dipak Debnath and his wife Swapna Debnath on the issue of consumption of liquor. After some time Dipak Debnath assaulted Swapna Debnath and set fire to her body by pouring K.Oil. As a result she received burnt injury on her person and was shifted to GB Hospital wherein she expired around 2330 hrs on the same day. It is reported that Dipak Debnath married Swapna Debnath about 12 years back. Thereafter Dipak Debnath used to torture  Swapna Debnath on various  issues. Ranirbazar PS staff visited the PO. Accused Dipak Debnath and Pradip Debnath are absconding.

Road mishap under P.R. Bari PS
On 11-07-10 night around 2200 hours one Truck bearing No.TR-01-H-1562 while proceeding towards P.R. Bari from Gouranga Bazar side dashed 2 pedestrians namely (1) Uttam Shil (42) S/O Lt. Jogendra Shil of Rajnagar (Goutam Nagar), PS-P.R. Bari another one Nakul Nama (44) S/O Lt. Rajmohan Nama of Goutam Nagar, PS-P.R. Bari near the house of one Ashit Debnath at Rajnagar Madhya Para on Belonia – Gouranga Bazar road who were returning to their houses from Rajnagar market. As a result they received grievous injuries on their persons and they were shifted to Rajnagar PHC where in the medical officer declared Uttam Shil dead and Nakul Nama was referred to TSD Hospital, Udaipur. P.R. Bari PS staff visited the PO and seized the offending truck. Driver is absconding. It is alleged that the accident took place due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle.

Recovery one LPG Cylinder under R.K Pur PS
On 10-07-10 around 1915 hrs Sri Parimal Majumder, Chief Inspector of Food, Udaipur Sub-Division alongwith SDPO, Udaipur and R.K Pur PS staff conducted raid in the Lake City shopping complex(about 50mtrs North from PS). During raid they recovered and seized 1 LPG cylinder from the restaurant of one Narayan Ghosh S/O Chinta Haran Ghosh of Dhani Sagar Paar PS R.K Pur who stored it illegally for his business purpose. Accused Narayan Ghosh was found absconding.

Debbarma @ Boshak(26) S/O Rabi Debbarma of Bir Mohan Chowdhury Para PS Sidhai surrendered before 34 BN Assam Rifle at Nonacherra under Teliamura PS. During surrender they deposited (1) 9mm Pistol-2 nos (2) 9mm rds-4 nos (3) Rounds of AK series-11 nos and (4) rounds of .303 -4 nos. They are being interrogated.

Road mishsp under Melaghar PS
On 08-07-10 around 2300 hrs one Maruti Van bearing No-TR-01-U-0351 while proceeding towards Nalchar from Bishramganj side dashed one bi-cycle rider Sudeb Das(32) S/O Lt. Dhirendra Das of Radhanath Chowdhury  Para, PS Melaghar at Jumerdepa(about 12km North-East from PS) who was proceeding towards Jumerdepa alongwith his son Subrata Das(05). As a result the bi-cycle rider Sudeb Das and his son Subrata Das received grievous injuries on their persons and Sudeb Das died at the spot. Injured Subrata Das was shifted to Melaghar Hospital. Melaghar PS staff visited the PO. The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the vehicle. Driver fled away with the vehicle after the incident.

Recovery of ganja under Bishalgahr PS
On 08-07-10 around 1230 hrs Dy.SP(EB) Santosh Chowdhury and staff conducted raid in the house of one Raj Kumar Bhowmik of Brajanagar, Madhupur, PS Bishalgarh(about 14km North-West from PS) and recovered and seized approx. 10 kgs dry ganja and 10 kgs dust leaf of Ganja from his house which were illegally stored for sale. Accused Raj Kumar Bhowmik was found absconding.

Murder under West Agartala/Jatrapur PsS.
(1) One Sribash Roy (55) S/O Lt. Sukhamoy Roy of Matri Palli, PS-West Agartala was a work assistant in Jirania PWD Office. On 07-07-10 he went out from his house for attending office as usual. But he did not return  home on that day. Today on 08-07-2010 morning around 0730 hours his dead body was found lying in a drain, near Bapuji School, North Badharghat (about 5 Km South – West from PS) with cut mark on his fore-head and leg. Smt. Ranjita Das (Roy)wife of deceased,  alleged that one Tarun Kanti Bhowmik S/O Lt. Nirmal Kanti Bhowmik of Matri Palli, PS-West Agartala, causin brother of deceased Sribash Roy killed her husband on the issue of land dispute.

(2) On 07-07-2010 around 1300 hours one Haradhan Paul (18) S/O Lt. Prakash Paul of Manua tilla, PS-Jatrapur went out from his house for grazing cattle at Baishya Gona Bagan, but he did not return home. On search around 2000 hours on 07-07-10 Smt. Gita Paul W/O Lt. Prakash Paul and others found the dead body Haradhan Paul lying with bleeding injury on his face at Baishya Gona Bagan (about 15 Km South  from PS). Smt. Rita Paul, mother of deceased alleged that FIR named accused persons (1) Dayal Dey S/O Lt. Kalachand Dey (2) Mithun Dey S/O Lt. Kalachand Dey and (3) Haradhan Dey @ Haru all of Manua Tilla, PS-Jatrapur killed her son Haradhan Paul. Police arrested Dayal Dey (48) S/O Lt. Kalachand Dey of Manua Tilla, PS-Jatrapur.

Road mishap under Khowai PS
Today on 08-07-10 around 1550 hours one Commander Jeep No. TR-01-2994 while proceeding towards Subhash Park with passengers from Puran Bazar dashed one Pampi Malakar (10) D/O Sri Narayan Malakar of Bankar, PS-Khowai at Bankar on Subash Para – Puran Bazar road (about 1 Km South from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of driver of the vehicle. As a result she received grievous injury on her person and was immediately shifted to Khowai Hospital wherein she succumbed to her injuries. O.C Khowai PS registered a case. Driver fled away with the vehicle after the incident. A specific case is being registered.

Murder under Teliamura PS
On 07-07-10 night one Shyamal Dey(38) S/O Sri Sunil Chandra Dey of Maharanipur PS Teliamura after dinner went out of the house. He did not return to his house at night. Today on 07-07-10 morning around 0600 hrs his dead body was found by the road side nearby his house with strangulation mark of nylon rope. Motive of the incident is yet to be ascertained.

Surrender of one NLFT(BM) extremist under Silachari PS.
Today on 07-07-10 at 1730 hrs one NLFT(BM extremist namely Jugal Debbarma(24) S/O Sri Kartik Debbarma of Shyama Nanda Para PS Radhapur surrendered before ASI SB Dilip Debbarma, OC Silachari PS at Silachari No-3 gate (about 1km South-East from PS) in presence of Coy Commander, 129 BN BSF without arms.

Road mishap under Jirania PS.
On 07-07-10 around 0900 hrs one Mini Bus bearing No-TR-02-1275 while proceeding towards Jirania from Agartala side with passengers dashed one Subash Biswas(23) S/O Sri Kshudiram Biswas of Kamala Nagar PS Jirania at Pashchim Bazar on NH-44 (about 7km North-East from PS) while Subash Biswas was going towards Jirania by his bi-cycle. As a result he received grievous injury on his person and was shifted to Jirania rural hospital wherein he succumbed to his injury after sometimes. Jirania PS staff visited the PO, seized the offending vehicle and arrested driver of the vehicle namely Bidhan Deb(32) S/O Lt. Bimal Deb of Kanchanbari PS Kumarghat.

Recovery of illegal Rice under Ranirbazar PS
Based on a secret information on 06-07-10 around 1530 hrs SI Ram Krishna Das of Ranirbazar PS and staff recovered and seized 2600 kgs ration rice contained in 52 bags(50 kg in each bag) from 2 vehicles bearing No-TR-01-A-2989 [Commander Jeep] and TR-01-C-1831 [D1 TATA] at Bridhanagar(about 3km North-West from PS) while the vehicles with rice were proceeding towards Champak Nagar from Agartala side without any valid documents. Police arrested both the drivers namely Dwijen Dey S/O Lt. Badal Dey of Joynagar PS Jirania (driver of TR-01-A-2989 commander jeep) and Haradhan Debnath S/O lt. Manik Debnath of Champaknagar PS Jirania(driver of TR-01-C-1831 D1 TATA) and seized both the vehicle.

Inspector of Police Shri Babul Das, OC West Agartala PS closed to the office of SP(West)
In view of lawyers incident on 01/02-07-10 explanation has been called of Shri Babul Das, Inspr. of Police, OC West Agartala PS. Pending explanation he has been closed to the office of SP(West) with immediate effect. In this connection one Sub-Inspr. of Police namely Shri Ashish Sarkar has also been transferred. Director General of Police has asked Shri B.K Debbarma, Inspr. Genl. of Police(Int.) to conduct an enquiry into the incident and submit report within one week.

Road mishap under Belonia PS.
Today on 03-07-10 around 0930 hrs one Amit Majumder S/O Lt. Ajit Ranjan Majumder of Satmura PS Belonia was proceeding towards college squad from  Belonia town by his motor bike bearing No-TR-03-A-5851(Honda) along with his father namely Ajit Ranjan Majumder(50) (staff of Belonia  Agriculture Office).  At that time one one toner bearing No-MHP-494(vehicle of agriculture office) came from  Belonia side with high speed and dashed his motor bike  near the Agriculture office at college squad(about 2km South-East from PS) on Belonia-college squad road. As a result the bike rider Amit Majumder and his father Ajit Ranjan Majumder received grievous injuries on their persons and were immediately  shifted to Belonia  Hospital wherein Ajit Ranjan Majumder succumbed to his injuries. Injured Amit Majumder has been referred to GB Hospital, Agartala. Police arrested the driver of one toner Mahadev Das(45) S/O Lt. Akshoy Kr. Das of South Mirzapur PS Belonia and seized the alleged vehicle.

On 02-07-10 evening one Lalmohan Tripura(27) S/O Lt. Sachindra Tripura of Arna Bandhu Para(Ghorakappa) PS Silachari went to the house of one Jagya Sen Tripura in the same village and consumed liquor there. Thereafter he left the house around 2030 hrs but did not return to his house. Today on 03-07-10 morning his dead body was found lying near his house (about 12km South from PS). Silacharri PS staff recovered  his dead body with marks of strangulation. Police brought 3 persons namely (1) Mohan Tripura (2) Arjun Das  and (3) Suresh Chakma of that village for interrogation. Motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained.

Recovery of K.Oil under Manu PS.
Acting on a secret information on 02-07-10 around 1405 hrs SI Manoj Kr. Chanda and staff recovered and seized approx. 1000 ltrs K.Oil contained in 5 barrels from Manu-Dhumacherra try-junction near DFO office on NH-44(about 1½  km South from PS) from a Bullero Maxx bearing No-TR-0M-1703 which was proceeding towards Ambassa from Dhumacherra side. These barrels of K.Oil were being illegally carried by one Bimal Sutradhar(32) S/O Sri Kshirode Sutradhar of Karailong PS Teliamura. Police arrested Bimal Sutradhar and the driver of the vehicle namely Sajahan Miah(20) S/O Tanu Miah of Kamalasagar PS Bishalgarh and seized the vehicle.

Surrender of ATTF extremists under Sidhai PS.
On 01-07-10 around 2100 hours 13 ATTF extremists namely (1) SS Captain Jagadish Debbarma @ Jester @ Mahadev (2) SS Haripada Debbarma @ Bijan (3) SS Jogendra Debbarma @ Lemon @ Birendra (4) SS Surgent Major Nanu Munda @ Santosh Santhal (5) SS Surgeon Major Hydram Reang (6) SS corporal Belheng, (7) SS Surgeon Major Suras (8) SS Private Arie (9) SS Private Burlock (10) SS Private Baman Debbarma (11) SS Private Tenton, (12) SS Private Rajesh Debbarma @ Buduak  and (13) SS Private Khureng surrendered before 35 BN A.R at Hezamara. In this regard today on 02-07-10 around 1500 hours a formal surrender ceremony was organized at 21 Sector Assam Rifle, Agartala. During surrender they deposited 15 weapons, 23.5 Kgs explosive and ammunitions. They are being interrogated.

Surrender of extremist under Ambassa PS.
On 01-07-10 one ATTF extremist namely Kishore Debbarma @ Kishang, S/O Parendra Debbarma of Ichacherra, PS-Champahower surrendered before 14 BN Assam Rifles at Ambassa. During surrender he deposited 1 2 rounds of 7.62 ammunitions . He is being interrogated.

Road mishap under Bishalgarh PS
On 30-06-10 around 1200 hrs one bus bearing No-Tr-03-1323 while proceeding towards Udaipur from Agartala side with passengers dashed one pedestrian namely Susmita Sarkar(08) D/O Sri Bijoy Sarkar of Amarpur PS Birganj at Gukulnagar on NH-44 near the gate way to CTI office(about 6km North from PS) due to rash and negligent driving on the part of driver of the vehicle. As a result she received grievous injuries on her person and was shifted to B.R Ambedkar Hospital, Agartala. Today on 01-07-10 around 1300 hrs she succumbed to her injuries at B.R Ambedkar, Hospital. Deceased and her mother came to Gukulnagar for visiting their relatives house. Bishalgarh PS staff visited the PO, seized the vehicle. Driver is absconding.
