I have taken charge of Director General of Police, Tripura on 15/07/2008. My warm greetings to all people of the State and to all members of Tripura Police fraternity including all security forces deployed.

            At this juncture, we have a number of challenges to cope with. While on the domestic front, offences against women is an area of concern, a few armed extremist groups, continue to be active in certain pockets of the state. Right now, their morale is low and resources depleted. Significant reduction in the militancy level has been possible largely due to the help and support of the peace loving people of the State. There is, however, no room for complacency. We are committed and dedicated to tackling insurgency with a firm hand.   I once again call upon the misguided and by now disillusioned youth of our state to rejoin the national mainstream.

            We are duty-bound  to enforce the law impartially, to protect life, property, human rights and uphold communal/ethnic harmony. Through our conduct and firm maintenance of order we shall further the process of development and growth in all aspects of social activity in our State. I urge upon the members of the Tripura Police to respond to the distress call of the people, particularly of the women-folk and weaker sections of the society without any delay.

Let me assure all, Tripura Police will be citizen and user friendly.
