(1) On 26-01-2015 at about 0845 hours one Auto truck bearing No.TR-02-A-1846 while proceeding from Chartilla to Rowa met an accident at Rowa (about 2 Km North from PS). As a result one Miss-Sumita Das(12), a student of Class-VI D/O Sri Sujit Das of Rowa, Ward No.4, PS-Panisagar who boarded in that Auto received grievous injuries on her person and was shifted to Panisagar Hospitalwhere attending doctor declared her brought dead. The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the driver of the auto truck. It is also mentioned here that deceased Sumita Das had attended in a run competition which was organized by Tajmahal Club of Panisagar in c/w Republic Day,2015. During run Miss-Sumita Das felt ill and immediately she was being shifted toPanisagar Hospital by the aforesaid offending Auto truck. Panisagar PS staff visited the place of occurrence and seized the auto truck. Driver of offending auto truck namely Madan Nath S/O unknown is absconding. In this regard a case has been registered vide Panisagar PS Case No. 05/15 u/s 279/304(A) IPC.
(2) On 26-01-2015 at about 0945 hours, one truck bearing No.TR-04-8109 and another motor bike bearing No.TR-07-4282(Pulsar) were proceeding towards Kathalia from Sonamura and while reached at Sonamura bridge Chowmohani (about 7 K.M. East from PS) the said motor bike dashed to the truck on back side. As a result bike rider namely Suleman Hossain (16), S/O Jahangir Hossain of N.C.Nagar and pillion rider namely Salman Hossain @ Sohag (18), S/O Abu Taher of Hospital road Sonamura, PS-Sonamura received grievous injuries on their persons and were shifted to GBP Hospital via Melagarh Hospital. Injured Salman Hossain succumbed to his injuries at GBP Hospital during treatment. Treatment of other injured person is going on. The accident occurred due to rash and negligent driving on the part of the rider of the motor bike. Sonamura PS staff visited the place of occurrence and seized both the involved truck and motor bike. Driver of involved truck is absconding. In this connection a case has been registered vide Sonamura PS Case No.07/15 u/s 279/ 338/ 304(A) IPC against the bike rider.
DT. 23-01-15. New Out Post opened at Bagma under R.K.Pur PS.
New Out post at Bagma has started to function w.e.f23-01-2015 under R.K.Pur PS. It is the 7th Out post in Gomati District. Sri K.Nagaraj, DGP, Tripura inaugurated the New Out post today at 1230 hours. The out post has started functioning from building located by the side of National Highway-44 near Bagma market.
SI-Chitta Ranjan Das has been posted as 1st Officer-In-charge of Bagma Out Post. There are six revenue villages which will come under this Out post. On the occasion of inauguration of Bagma Out Post a large number of local people thronged there. Among them the presence of women/children were noticeable. Mr. Anurag, IGP(L/O), Sri Sankar Debnath, SP(Gomati), SDM, Udaipur and local panchayet members were also attended the occasions.
DT. 22-01-15. 02 accused in Murapara rape case convicted.
Today on 22-01-15,
Ld. District & Session Judge, Gomati District convicted 2(two) accused
namely (1) Biswajit Bhowmik (33), S/O Sri Kanu Bhowmik of Murapara
Shasri Colony, PS-Kakraban, (2) Shankar Mandal (33), S/O Sri Ganesh
Mandal of Murapara Shasri Colony u/s 364/364(1)/307/120(b) IPC.
A case was registered vide Kakraban PS Case No.08/14 u/s
367/376/326/307 IPC, on 03-02-2014 against the accused persons for
forcibly commission of rape with attempt to commit murder after
kidnapping the victim.
After investigation I.O of the case filed charge sheet on 02-04-2014 against
those accused persons vide Kakraban PS C/S No.30/14 u/s
120(B)/364/326/307/376/34 IPC. The trial court on appreciation of
evidence found the accused persons guilty u/s 364/376(1)/307/120(B) IPC.
Ld. Court of District and Sessions judge, Gomati, Udaipur convicted accused Biswajit Bhowmik of Murapra Sharicolony, PS-Kakraban and sentenced to suffer12(twelve) years rigorous imprisonment u/s 376(1) IPC(rape) and to pay fine of Rs.10,000/- and further suffer10(ten) years rigorous imprisonment u/s 364 IPC(kidnapping). The sentence shall run concurrently. Ld. Court also convicted accused Shankar Mandal of Murapara Shasri Colony, PS-Kakraban and sentenced to suffer 5(five) years rigorous imprisonment and to pay fine of Rs.5000/-. Accused Sankar Mandal is the husband of the victim lady and accused Biswajit Bhowmik is the cousin of accused Shankar Mandal.
Inspector Jatindra Das, O.C Kakraban PS was the investigating officer who investigated the case promptly collected all evidences, arrested the accused and submitted charge sheet within two months. It is a good piece of Police action in a heinous crime against women where punishment is pronounced by the Ld. Court within one year of commission of the crime.
On 20-01-2015, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate, Udaipur convicted one accused person namely Ranjit Shil (30), S/O Sri Mano Ranjan Shil of Chandra Pur, Ashram Tilla, PS-R.K.Pur, Gomati District and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 1(one)year u/s 379 IPC.
The case was registered on 15-10-14 vide Kakraban PS Case No.161/2014 u/s 379/411 IPC on the basis of complaint of Joydeb Sarkar(20), S/O Nikhil Sarkar of East Mirza, PS-Kakraban
2 years imprisonment in theft case under Kalamchowra PS.
On 20-01-2015, Ld. Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Sonamura convicted one accused person namely Billal Miah (26), S/O late Nurul Islam of Ashabari, PS-Kalamchowra, Sipahijala District and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 2(two)years u/s 457/380 IPC and pay to fine of Rs.2000/-. The case was registered on 06-06-14 vide Kalamchowra PS Case No.32/14 u/s 457/380 IPC against accused person.
