DT.20-05-2016 Accused gets 5 years imprisonment
On 19-05-2016 the Ld. Addl. Session Judge (Sri U. Hrishi Das), North District Dharmanagar, passed a judgment in c/w Pecharthal PS Case No. 11/2011 u/s 417/306/34 IPC. In the said order accused namely (1) Sri BadalMahishyadas (30), S/O Sri Promode Mahishyadas of Shantipur, PS-Pecharthal is sentence to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 5 (five) years with a fine of Rs.20,000/- only ID to suffer rigorous imprisonment for 3(three) months u/s 306 IPC. The case was investigated by SI-Suro Kr. Debbarma of Peccharthal PS and represented by Ld. PP Mr. Swapan Kr. Nath .
Brief story:- On 17-03-2011 morning the daughter of the complainant went to a tutor house but she did not return in time. Guardian / relatives search in probable place but not trace out. Later on learned from another person that her daughter (victim) was kept concealed in the house of accused (Badal Mahishyadas). Next day on 18-03-2011 midnight some villagers of Shantipur handed over the victim girl to the parents. Victim girl disclosed to her parents that FIR named accused developed a love affairs with her since long by inducing to marry her shortly and committed sexual intercourse. But accused person denied to marry her due to unwillingness of other family members. As a result the victim mentally had broken down and out of shame, she consumed poison on the same night on 18-03-2011 at about 0300/0330 hours which resulted in her death.
Recover of dead body under Kamalpur PS.
On 12-05-2016 at about 1800 hours, Susanti Nag Bangshi (08), D/O Sri Lakhindar Nag Bangshi of Chulubari, PS-Kamalpur went for tending cattle in a rubber garden nearby her house but she did not return home. On the following morning i.e on 13-05-2016 at about 0930 hours Susanti Nagbangshi was found lying dead at Chulubari (Nag Bangshi Para) (about 7 Km South – East from PS) with injury marks on her private part. On this information Kamalpur PS staff rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and shift the dead body for PM examination. Motive of the crime is yet to be ascertained. A specific case is being registered in this regard.
DT.12-05-2016 Surrender of 6 NLFT leaders / Cadres
On 10-05-2016 six NLFT leaders/ cadres namely (1) Gantha Charan Rupini (39) @ Yathek, SS 2ndLieutenant S/O Badrai Rupini of Maracherra Rupini Para, PS-Manu, (2) Sati Ranjan Debbarma (38), @ Satung @ Satish @ Sutui, SS Warrant Officer, S/O Lt. Kishore Debbarma @ Mungkurui of Subodh Para, PS-Champahower, (3) Budhi Charan Debbarma @ Bukhung, SS Corporal S/O Lt. Rabi Kr. Debbarma of Takchaiya Para, PS-Champahower, (4) Subhalal Tripura(31), @ Suiya @ Suriya, SS Lance Corporal S/O Sri Hashya Kr. Tripura of West Jamircherra, PS-Dhumacherra (5) Alendra Reang (34) @ Susmitafa, SS Pvt. S/O Balukjoy Reang of Sagarpur, PS-Anandabazer and (6) Sunil Kanti Tripura (34), SS Pvt. S/O Lt. Brajendra Tripura of Shantipur, PS-Anandabazer surrendered before Special Branch, Agartala. During surrender they deposited 2 nos Icom wireless sets with Chargers.
Today on 11-05-2016 Ld. ADJ Court No.4 Magistrate Smt. Sankari Das passed a judgment in c/w ST(T/1)/101/14 PRC-985/14 LFG PS Case No. 34/14 u/s 304 part (II) IPC. In the said judgment order (1) Sri Mangal Debbarma (80), S/O Lt. Bhairab Debbarma of Rajghat, PS-Lefunga (2) Sri Bikram Debbarma (36), S/O Sri Rajkumar Debbarma of Barkathal, PS-Sidhai convicted RI for 4(four) years each for offence punishable u/s 304 part(II) IPC and pay of Fine Rs.25,000/- each, ID to suffer 1(one) year each. The case was investigated by IO SI-Tarani Jamatia and conducted by Ld. APP Sri Nemai Ch. Das.
On 29-08-2014 at 1030 hours, Smti Sabana Debbarma (25), W/O Sri Bikram Debbarma of Raj ghat, PS-Legfunga along with some relatives and local villagers appeared at Lefunga PS and verbally lodged a complainant before of OC Lefunga PS to the effect that on 28-08-2014 at about 1600 hours, a quarrel took place in between deceased Nandalal Debbarma and accused person Mangal Debbarma on the issue of cutting Sagun tree. The complainant is the daughter in-law of deceased. Before 4/5 years back 2 nos Sagun tree were purchased by the complainant from accused Mangal Debbarma and few days back the complainant had sold the both tree. Then the accused person Mangal Debbarma asked to Nandalal Debbarma why 2 nos Sagun tree cut down and he started to telling that one Sagun tree was sold by him, then the quarrel was started with scuffling at the time accused person Bikram Debbarma, Son in-law of Mangal Debbarma go to spot and assaulted the deceased by fist and blows. Then Mangal Debbarma asked to Bikram to kill the Nandalal Debbarma that time suddenly he caused to assault in the back side of the head of Nandalal Debbarma by a piece of wooden dal (breach of tree). Thereafter Nandalal became senseless and fallen down on ground. The local people and relative of Nandalal Debbarma taken away him to GBP Hospital for treatment. On 28/29-08-2014 night at about 0215 hours, Nandalal expired at GBP Hospital. The above verbal complaint of the complainant is recorded by OC PS and read over to the complainant and then the complainant put her signature. On the basis of the recorded complaint OC PS registered the instant case and endorsed the case to SI Tarani Jamatia.
During investigation IO of the case SI-Tarani Jamatia submitted charge sheet u/s 302/34 IPC against the arrested accused Mangal Debbarma and (2) Bikram Debbarma after completion of investigation.
DT. 07-05-2016 Rapist gets 10 years imprisonment
Judgement order dated 06-05-16, Ld. District & Sessions Judge North Tripura, Dharmanagar convicted one accused person namely Sri Chanchal Deb (40), S/O Lt. Rakesh Ranjan Deb of South Hurua, Ward No.3, PS- Dharmanagar to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for 10 years and to pay fine Rs.10,000/- punishable u/s 366 of IPC and also to suffer R.I for life and to pay fine of Rs. 10,000/- for punishable U/S 376 IPC in connection with Dharmanagar PS Case No. 158/2013 u/s 376 IPC.
The case was registered on 29/07/2013 at 1505 hrs on the written complaint of one Sri Baltu Dey, S/O Lt. Bibhu Dey of South Hurua, PS Dharmanagar to the effect that on two months before of 15/07/2013 at any time when the mentally disable sister of the complainant was alone in her house at that time the accused committed rape upon her taking the advantage of her loneliness. But the sister of the complainant did not disclose the matter to any other person. Subsequently, she became pregnant and on being asked she narrated the fact to her family members.
The case was investigated by W/SI Swarna Debbarma of Dharmanagar Women PS. During investigation, I.O of the case has taken all efforts to complete the investigation on priority basis. Based on evidences on record, I.O had arrested the accused person and forwarded to the Ld. Court. On completion of investigation, I.O submitted Charge-Sheet U/S 376 of IPC dated 02/12/2013 against the above mentioned accused person to face trial in the court of law.
On completion of the trial, Sri Udit Chowdhury, Ld. District & Sessions Judge, North Tripura Dharmanagar, convicted the accused as stated above. Shri Swapan Kr. Nath, has conducted the case as public prosecutor.
One year imprisonment to an accused in motor accident case.
Today on 02-05-2016 Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate North Tripura, Dharmanagar convicted one accused namely Kankaj Das (27), S/O Sri Kripasindhu Das of Kalagangerper, PS-Kadamtala sentenced to suffer simple imprisonment for 6(six) months and to pay fine of Rs.1000/- for offence punishable u/s 279 IPC and further simple imprisonment for 1(one) year and to pay fine of Rs.2000/- for offence punishable u/s 304(A) IPC in c/w Kadamtala PS Case No.41/16 u/s 279/304(A) IPC.
The case was registered on 20-05-2013 at 1535 hours, on the written complaint of one SriAnanta Acharjee (26), S/O Lt. Amaresh Acharjee of Amtali PS Kadamtala to the effect that on 17-05-2013 at about 1200 hours, the father of the complainant namely Amaresh Acharjee (60) was standing near the tong shop of one Sri Tapan Debnath and at that time one TATA Magic bearing registration No.TR-02-A-2589 was coming from Kadamtla side and dashed the father of the complainant. As a result, father of the complainant received injuries on his head, the injured person was shifted to Kadamtala Hospital and Dharmananagar hospital. Subsequently the victim was shifted to Silchar Medical college for his better treatment. On 20-05-2013 he succumbed due to his injuries.
The case was investigated by SI-Padmasen Chakma of Kadamtala PS. During investigation based of evidence IO arrested the accused driver and forwarded to the Court. On completion of investigation IO submitted charge sheet against the above accused driver for facing trial in the Court of law vide Kadamtala PS Charge sheet No. 42/13 u/s 279/304(A) IPC dated 22-07-2013.
On completion of the trial, Smt. Mukherjee, Ld. Chief Judicial Magistrate, North Tripura Dharmanagar convicted the above named accused driver. Sri Tapash Rn. Dhar has conducted the case as Asstt. Public prosecutor.
